Buy tutoring hours, use on anything.

At Brightfox, you buy a package of tutoring hours that you can use on anything we offer. any subject, any sibling, online or in person. The pricing is the same for every subject and whether it’s in-person or online.

There is a one-time registration fee of $65 due at signup. This is meant to cover the costs of any paper books you receive as part of the program, across all siblings for the life of your membership. There are no other monthly membership fees, or other hidden fees. For example, all practice tests and at-home practice is free.

One hour of college counseling costs four tutoring hours, which comes to $180-$260/hour, depending on which package you purchase. It costs more because our college counselors are our most senior team members, and it’s a 1:1 meeting, unlike our other tutoring sessions, which are 2:1.  There’s a 30 minute meeting minimum, billed in six minute increments after that.

We do not offer a free trial session. However, we do have a small three hour package which is meant to be a low-cost way to try Brightfox a few times and see how you like it.

No, you can type in any number of tutoring hours that you want, such as 5, 17, 35, or 90.

Affirm is a popular “buy now, pay later” service you may have seen when online shopping elsewhere. We have an integration with them as well. Let’s pretend you want to buy a 60 hour package. You’ll submit some basic information to Affirm,  who will do a soft credit check – which does not affect your credit – and then will offer you three options: something like a six month, twelve month and twenty-four month payback option. We offer up to six months of 0% APR (no interest).

No, we do not allow any refunds. We encourage you to buy a small package first to ensure it’s a good fit! You can use the hours on anything we offer, and any siblings, all the way through AP exams and finals in spring of senior year of high school. You can also transfer the hours to another existing and paid Brightfox family.

No, you are not able to combine purchases, or roll one package into another. Each package is separate.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as Affirm, a leading payment plan solution which allows you to buy a larger tutoring hour package and split it into monthly payments. We do not accept any other form of payment, including cash, checks, Paypal, Venmo, Zelle etc.

The pricing is the same for all families. We care tremendously about our families trusting us, and different pricing for different families could hurt that trust. We don’t offer any seasonal sales or discounts. We keep Brightfox simple and consistent!
